TJ PATEL

Tejas (TJ) Patel attended the University of Houston, and in 2003 he graduated from Gerald D. Hines School of Architecture with a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Construction Management. Being around his family’s hospitality business while growing up, TJ began his career with PMA Architects in San Antonio, TX designing mid-scale franchise hotels.

In 2005 TJ along with childhood friends Mitesh Patel and Alex Johnson launched Level Construction, a residential and commercial development & construction firm. Level Construction quickly gained recognition building hotels and franchise restaurants and in 2014 the leadership team launched Level Hospitality to develop, own, and operate franchise hotels. The growth of these two companies led to the addition of Level Capital and became the funding arm for hospitality development and acquisitions. Finally, in 2020, the partners decided to rebrand and launch the Level X Group combining all 4 verticals – Level Construction, Level Development, Level Hospitality, and Level Capital.

TJ currently is a partner at LXG and is a member of the firm’s Executive, Hospitality, Construction and Development committees and focuses on site selection and qualification, feasibility & entitlements, design & planning, construction execution & management and overall business strategy.

JAMAIL VIRANI

Jamail Virani graduated from Cox School of Business with a BBA in Finance and a BA in Economics from Southern Methodist University. After college, Jamail pursued a career in Investment Banking and moved to NYC where he worked at various positions at Goldman Sachs.

Jamail went on to expand the investment banking footprint for the company in Salt Lake City. While at Goldman Sachs, Jamail did over $4.5B in transactional volume with a focus on equity & debt offerings, M&A, and IPO’s. Since then, Mr. Virani has acted as a manager for multiple commercial real estate funds in Houston, Texas.

Jamail currently is a partner at LXG and is a member of the firm’s Executive, Investment, Business Development and Hospitality committees and focuses on asset acquisition & management, investment & financial management, investor relations & reporting, site selection and qualification and overall business strategy.

MITESH PATEL

Mitesh Patel and his family moved to Chicago to pursue a new life as many Indians did during the 70s and 80s. While assimilating into the American culture, Mitesh realized that he wanted to build his own business and had a goal to work with talented people and build an empire.

In 2005, Mitesh started to work towards this goal when he and his childhood friends, TJ Patel and Alex Johnson, decided to launch Level Construction in Houston, TX as a residential development and construction firm. The team worked very hard to develop this company and within 2 years the company began focusing more on commercial construction and expanded its business to Chicago with the opening of their 2nd location. Level Construction quickly gained recognition and began to scale with the launch of two additional brands – Level Hospitality and Level Capital.

ROGER YOUNG

Roger Young serves as Executive Vice President of Hospitality forLevel Hospitality, LLC. Within his role he develops and implements critical hotel acquisition to include operating strategies while he oversees technical, operational and quality related functions.

Mr. Young drives initiatives to enhance the profitability of all of Level Hospitality properties. He is directly responsible for nearly 200 associates and for operating budgets in excess of $25 million.  Mr. Young’s management philosophy is summed up by his unique twists to two common business principles: First, work hard and work smart, and second, think and act outside the box. His leadership style is rooted in entrepreneurialism and empowerment and has contributed greatly to the hotel industry creating organizations of innovators, not imitators. An alumnus of Vincennes University in Indiana, Mr. Young brings with him over 30years of experience in successful hotel operations. He has worked with Four Seasons, Hilton, IHG, BestWesternHotel, Choice Hotels, IndependentLuxury Boutique,Buena Vista and Ponte Vedra resorts serving at various Hotel leadership roles within Engineering, Front Office, Housekeeping and F&B as a foundation to opportunities for General Manager, Vice President Positions held.

Prior to joining Level Hospitality, Mr. Young has served as a board member for Illinois Hotel Lodging Association Educational Foundation and Chicago River North Association. He has also been involved with student lectures for various local hospitality schools such as Roosevelt University, Culinary Art Institute, KendallCollege and Purdue University.

JOHN MISKOVIC

John’s foundation has been built upon successful past roles in Financial Markets and Freight Transportation Logistics, during which he effectively led operations by executing strategy and managing risk whilst navigating supply and demand. In these roles, he had consistently maintained a track record for ensuring the best results by carefully assessing risks and making difficult decisions – decisions that continue to prove to be the right ones.

John has more than 13 years of hotel industry experience with Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, and Best Western brands, and as a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) he has held franchise leadership roles supporting full and select service hotels. John is a proven operations management leader committed to continuous improvement in guest satisfaction, team loyalty, and financial results. He displays a leadership style that focuses on the very fabric of business – human relationships – with the exceptional ability to connect, communicate, empathize, and negotiate with diverse groups of people. John continues to express his respect and gratitude for people’s time by way of prioritizing tasks, asking engaging and stimulating questions, and simply showing genuine interest.

His other skills include identifying and recruiting talented, passionate individuals whom he seeks to motivate, demonstrating the value in synergy and focus on collaboration and displaying confidence in self, team, organization, and mission. Furthermore, John demonstrates an aptitude for coaching and influencing on the basis of trust, faith, and excitement towards the development of others. John attended University of Illinois Circle Campus.

MEHUL TOPIWALA

JINGXI GAO (MAC)

Jingxi is currently an Asset Manager and Financial Analyst at Level Capital and focuses on asset management, market research, deal’s underwriting, financial review, and investor reporting.

KAUSHIK PATEL

POOJI MANTENA

Pooji Mantena graduated from New York University with a Master’s in Civil Engineering and a minor in Construction Management. She gained experience within construction firms and improved her proficiency within the BIM, Scheduling, and Estimating disciplines.

In 2014, Pooji joined the Level Construction Team as an Estimator and progressed her skill set across multiple competencies by proactively getting involved in various projects aligned with the growth of the collection Level Companies.

Today, Pooji brings solid instincts, a proven track record of project accounting, process management, and strong administration skills, along with a strong foundation of technical knowledge in bidding, scheduling, and project management. She manages multiple projects activities and projects roles in efforts to successfully meet deadlines and streamlining business operations. Her strength lies in a solid technical foundation coupled with management and accounting experience that allows her to look at current & future projects from a bird’s eye view while tactically leveraging her skills and tools to execute them to completion.
